Fusarium graminearum was found for the first time causing dry rot of potato in North Dakota.  While F. graminearum is not new to North Dakota, this is the first record of its association with potato and raises concerns as potato is often used in rotation with grain hosts of F. graminearum and could therefore lead to increased persistence and spread.
