Date posted: July 06, 2004
Source: ProMED (30 Jun 2004)
Potato spindle tuber viroid (PSTVd) was found for the first time in Germany on tomato plants. Tomato transplants are the suspected pathway for the introduction of PSTVd. Spread of PSTVd can occur rapidly between plants, and disease management is dependent on using viroid-free transplants. The declared status of PSTVd in Germany is: Single occurrence, eradicated.
