Citrus canker, Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri, was discovered in Evergreen Orchards in Queensland, Australia.  There is now a ban on interstate movement of Queensland citrus fruits and the infected trees are being destroyed.  Citrus canker has been found four other times in Australia, however this is the first detection in a commercial crop.  Biosecurity Australia will be working with concerned trading partners.
