Three months after an emergency request from Michigan, USDA said Monday it will send nearly $14.6 million to Michigan and Ohio to deal with the emerald ash borer, an Asian beetle that has already killed millions of ash trees in the region. Most of the money will be used for surveys to determine the extent of the damage, reported a spokeswoman for Michigan
