En marzo de 2003, se descubrió el áfido Greenidea ficicola atacando Ficus sp. Su presencia se desconocía en el hemisferio occidental. Los hospedantes conocidos para este áfido asiático incluyen Duabanga sonneratioides (Lythraceae), Ficus sp. (Moraceae) y Psidium guajava, L. (Guava).
